One master, many sizes
The tedious shop task is not retouching. It is cutting one shot to three aspect ratios. 2.0 plans have multiple sizes. One factory plan is named for that.
Multiple sizes
Cover800 × 800
Main1200 × 1200
Thumb200 × 200
One source, many sizes from the same plan. Watermarks scale to each output width.
A working path
- Open the Multiple sizes plan, or add widths on the current plan. See Product photos.
- Crop with fill, fit, or attention. Off-center subjects usually prefer attention over a dead center crop.
- Need a mark? Open watermark. The mark scales to each output width.
- Platform byte caps stack with target size.
- Sizes only, no re-encode of the main file? Turn convert off. See Plans.
Quota counts successful source files, not every derived size.
Do not
- Do not add raster sizes to a PDF. PDFs have their own presets.
- Do not use sizes as a layout tool.
- Do not overwrite the source folder unless the original may vanish.
Next: Watermark every output.
