A plan is a preset, not a filter pack
Starting from quality 80 every session is not craft. It is forgetting yesterday. 2.0 stores an export style as a plan. Version 2.0.2 on 27 August 2026 shipped six factory plans. Only Compress is enabled by default.
Plans
CompressWebPTargetSizesUpscaleCutout
Six factory plans. Only Compress is on by default. Built-ins cannot be renamed or deleted.
What the six are for
| Plan | Use |
|---|---|
| Compress | Keep the original format, shrink if you can |
| WebP | Sites and sharing |
| Target size | A hard KB / MB ceiling |
| Multiple sizes | Cover, square, thumb in one run |
| Upscale | 2× / 4× after you install the engine |
| Cutout | Transparent or white subject after you install the engine |
Plans also hold watermark, save-as, and the convert switch. Built-ins cannot be renamed or deleted. You can reset parameters (output folder stays) or save your own. See Plans.
When convert is off
On (default): re-encode to the target format. Off, and with no watermark, upscale, cutout, or target size, the main file is copied byte-for-byte. Turn convert off when you only want a watermark and no extra encode pass.
Do not
- Do not treat plans as a Lightroom preset shop. No skin, no grain packs.
- Do not rename a built-in. Save a copy.
- Do not think all six run at once. Only the selected plan runs.
