Let the folder slim itself: watch a directory

Image Optimizer can turn optimize from “open the window and drop again” into a directory pipeline. In Settings · Automation, pick a folder, bind a plan, and set an output location. New images and PDFs run in the background. Free quota is 300 per month. Successful watched jobs count.

Who is this for?

• A design app always dumps exports into the same folder.
• Ops copy a daily batch from a phone into a fixed directory.
• You want the app at login, in the tray, without a window in the way (on macOS, closing the window hides to the tray; on Windows, closing the window quits, so use start minimized with the tray).

How to set it up

1. Confirm format, sizes, watermark, and cutout in the plan for this pipeline.
2. Open Settings · Automation, add a folder, choose the plan and output directory.
3. Do not point output back at the watched folder, or files loop.
4. For login: Settings · General → Launch at login. For no window: Start minimized (the main window still shows if onboarding is unfinished).

When quota runs out, an upgrade prompt appears. It does not pretend the file succeeded. Unbind before moving to a new computer.

How is this different from clipboard compression?

Some apps compress as soon as you copy a picture. Image Optimizer watches a folder, which fits batch exports, not every screenshot. Clipboard auto-compress is not part of this product.
