Six built-in plans, one click per job

Image Optimizer stores an output recipe as a plan so you do not re-tune every time. A fresh install includes six built-ins. Only Compress is enabled. Built-in plans cannot be renamed or deleted. Reset restores factory parameters for the current plan and keeps the output folder. You can still save your own plans.

Getting started · Upscale and cutout · Watch folders

What are the six for?

PlanUse when
CompressKeep the original format and shrink bytes
Convert to WebPA modern format for sites and sharing
Target sizeA hard KB / MB cap
Multiple sizesCover, square, and thumb in one run
Super-resolution2× or 4× enlarge (install the engine first)
Background removalTransparent or white-background subject (install the engine first)

Plans also include watermark, save-as (prefix, suffix, output folder, overwrite), and the conversion switch.

What does the conversion switch do?

On by default: re-encode to the target format. If you turn it off and you are not using watermark, upscale, cutout, or target size, the main file is copied as-is (same extension and bytes). Extra sizes can still be generated in the original format. Turn conversion off when you only want a watermark or a cutout without another compress pass.

How do I check that it did not look worse?

Use before/after compare after the run. Quality sliders on nine formats only make sense if you can see the result. Portrait photos are straightened first. Metadata is stripped by default. Keep ICC or copyright per checkbox when needed.
